| WORKFORCE |
|
If you are seeking employees, need labor market/research data, or other
workforce questions or needs, consider calling upon the OESC office for
assistance or to find out what services might be available to your company.
They also assist companies in hiring events for expansion or new start-ups, at
your site or in a local office, at no charge.
Workforce development is inarguably today's biggest challenge for employers.
While certainly short term solutions are necessary, long term strategies also
must be developed as well by working with education partners that will help
people prepare for, find and maintain living-wage jobs. And as industries
change and jobs become more specialized, the workers needed to fill them
must possess advanced education and training. Savvy employers will continue
to remain connected with our local higher education institutions to identify
future employees, discover training resources for your staff, and identify how
internships may help your business.
WorkKeys - Career Readiness
The Oklahoma Career Readiness Certificate, utilizing the WorkKeys skills
assessment system, is a tool designed to address the hiring, training and
retention issues faced by many businesses. No single tool can as effectively
address all of these issues. Companies using this system have seen their
turnover rates cut in half, at the same time they have decreased the time
it takes to hire new employees. Join the increasing number of community
companies benefiting from WorkKeys and the Oklahoma Career Readiness
Certificate.

a referral). But then let us know if you'd like to see if there are other options
that might be possible to help stretch your financing dollar to make your
project fly. We can work with your local preferred banker to help you secure
